APPROACH AND CAR PARK
The Old Malt House is at the bottom of West Looe Hill, on Fore Street. You can pull up at the front of the house for unloading before parking your car. The front door is at the top of some stone steps. The front entrance and sign are lit up at night.
We have various parking places: There is one space 200yds up West Looe Hill in a privately maintained car park. We have a map with directions which we will give you on arrival and there is a sign indicating which space is ours.
There is a small parking space at the back of the house which is accessed by Downs View, the road at the side of the house. To get into the space it is necessary to drive up Downs View, find a suitable space to turn around and come back down into the space forwards.
There is another space directly at the front of the house on the private pavement at the front. This is more suitable for a small car.
BEDROOMS
All three bedrooms have a double bed wardrobe and drawers, T.V and video and tea and coffee making facilities. The beds are professionally cleaned by mattress medics leaving them clinically sterile. Bedroom one has a sink within the room and an old Victorian fireplace. All have original sash windows. Each bed has a light above the bed as well as the main light in the room. All en-suites have showers and are carpeted throughout.
DINING AREA
The dining room is downstairs and is accessed through the double doors at the end of the guest corridor. These doors are locked during the day but are open for breakfast. The internal staircase is carpeted and quite steep and narrow. It is a spacious dining area and guests sit at separate tables or together for family groups. There is a high chair if required.
SPECIAL DIETS
Guests with special dietary needs can be catered for with advance notice and there is a wide selection of fruit and cereal on offer as well as a vegetarian alternative to full English breakfast.
CHILDREN
Well behaved children are welcome although they have to be accommodated in a separate room from their parents. Babies can be accommodated in one of our bedrooms in our travel cot, however this does make the room quite cramped and may not be suitable for a long stay.
PETS
We have a dog called Bengy who may be heard while you stay with us but you may not meet as he is excluded from guest areas and is usually out walking during breakfast time.
